Spring Fever!

So I know I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, and I'll be honest, I was in that February Funk that seems to happen yearly. As I mentioned in my Current Obsession: Coconut Oil post, it has been nothing but cold and dark here. I can handle that most of winter, but toward the beginning of March, I am over it and just feel so blah. However, both the sun and temperatures have finally broken now, I feel like my perky self again, and I am getting super excited for spring! I love this time of year when I start bringing color back into my makeup routine, and move from the deeper, vampy shades (which I do love too) of winter to brighter, sunnier shades of spring. I dug through my makeup and pulled out some of my favorite eye and lip shades (and of course included swatches) to lighten up, brighten up, and look festive for Spring, which does officially start later this week. I know pastels for spring isn't exactly revolutionary, but I get so excited to bring some more colorful, softer hues into my makeup routine this time of year. Here's what I'm excited for at the moment.

Eyes

L-R
Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Lavish Lilac
Benefit Cosmetics Creaseless Cream Shadow in Always a Bridesmaid
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Asphyxia -This swatch looks super light, and barely shows up on my stark white arm, but this shadow is not nearly as sheer as it looks here. It definitely isn't bright and bold, but it's not as invisible as it looks here. It is a beautiful soft color that you can really make more bold with a white base, or you can put it over the Benefit cream shadow and really brighten the purple.
MAC Eyeshadow in Beautiful Iris -Same for this one as with the Urban Decay. My camera just did not want to pick up these shades, but I promise they really do show up and both are gorgeous!
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Golden Sage
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Urb-This is a shade that came in an old palette. The closest I have found is Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow in I330 Linden Green
Lancome Color Design Palette in Jade Fever-I swatched the lightest green, largest color in the palette

Lips

L-R
Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom in Lilac Flush

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Ultimate Orchid

MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Divine Choice
We all know I love a good pink. And one of my favorite things about these mid-tonal pinks is the fact that the same color can look completely different in different lighting. It's almost like they are self-adjusting to the lighting in the room sometimes. In the two pictures below, the top picture is inside a room in the middle of the day, and the bottom picture is just a few feet away in direct sunlight.

Revlon Color Stay Balm Stain in Cherish
Same here, a few feet away and then in direct sunlight. I also never realized until looking at this and the MAC Divine Choice side-by-side, but these two are really close! I may have just accidentally found a drugstore dupe for one of my favorite MAC lipsticks!

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Frosting
And again, inside and then in direct sunlight.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 07 Cherry Blossom
And again...

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Obsessed
The color on this one didn't change so much from inside to in direct sunlight, but it did get much more metallic in the direct light.
